If I were a betting man, the next time Angelina Jolie was spotted, I would wager good money that she’d be wearing black. The Oscar-winning actor has made the shade a staple of her wardrobe, and she often incorporates it through chic pieces that scream quiet luxury.
Most recently, the Maria star was spotted on the streets of Paris as she headed to the set of her upcoming drama flick Stitches. On her way to filming, Jolie was seen wearing—you guessed it—an all-black fit, which she gave a splash of color by adding a rich leather handbag.
Jolie’s fit wasn’t anything unusual, but it worked well thanks to a few strong pieces. At the center of it all was a long black trench, which she buttoned at the waist with a set of bright gold fasteners. The coat had billowing sleeves and wide lapels, as well as a heavy skirt that created natural folds when Jolie placed her hands in the pockets.
The obsidian outerwear was paired with a couple of matching accessories, including some oversized, cat-eye sunglasses and a pair of chunky Celine mules in a black velvet, which have recently become one of the actor’s go-tos.
To contrast her fit, Jolie added a gorgeous statement bag: the Y leather tote from Saint Laurent. With its creamy brown color, the tote added a striking tonal shift from the otherwise monochromatic look. And clearly Jolie likes it, because she was seen carrying the same bag only the day prior.
